Elnara Shafigullina

 
 

Russian/dutch soprano  Elnara Shafigullina born in Krasnodar and grew up in Chukotka, in the far North-East of Russia. At the age of 20 she moved to Saint-Petersburg, where she studied at the State University of Culture and Arts. She began to play the accordion when she was 9 years old at the music school, followed by high school/college and university. As an accordion player she participated in several bands from Saint Petersburg, playing in Russia and in Europe. But Elnara always had the dream of performing as a classical singer. Under the influence and lessons of the famous Russian classical singer Rimma Volkova (Mariinsky Theatre soloist)  another side of her talent has cultivated: a strong voice.

Since 2008 Elnara lives in Holland. In 2013 she she graduates the Conservatory of Amsterdam under the guidance of Hein Meens (24.04.1949 -10.02.2012)  and Pierre Mak.


She participated in several master-classes and worked with Edith Wiens, Margreet Honig, Nelly Miricioiu, William Matteuzzi, David Parry, Luca Gorla, Pierre Mak, David Bolen, Ira Siff, Alexander Oliver, Annett  Andriesen, Montserrat Caballé, and  Mirella Freni.

In 2010, together with her sister Gulnara Shafigullina (soprano) was recorded CD, "Gallery of russian song’s".

She performs in Russia, Holland, Spain, Austria, Frans, Turkey and Italy. Elnara works in the project  "R.I.S.E." (russian instrumental & soprano explosion)

with  multi-instrumentalist Yuri Rjadchenko (Ukraine /Turkey), but also in other projects with German, Italian and Russian opera aria’s and song’s.
